In the world of sports; athletes and timekeepers share a lot in common. That is why Citizen Watch Company proudly celebrates its 24th year as the Official Timekeeper of the US Open Tennis Championships. Every year, two weeks are reserved for the US Open Tennis Championships held in Flushing, NY. This is the season-ending Grand Slam event in men’s and women’s professional tennis; the highest profile tennis tournament of the year. With court-side clocks tracking match time and stadium scoreboards to display match results, CITIZEN plays an integral role every year at the US Open Tennis Championships. CITIZEN match time displays have recorded the match time of some of the longest Grand Slam matches in history.

We are also proud to be the official sponsor of Arthur Ashe Kid’s Day, as well as the Exclusive Timekeeper and Official Sponsor of the Western and Southern Open, the Connecticut Open at Yale and Citi Open in Washington, D.C.

Beginning in 2015 CITIZEN expanded its sponsorship to be the Official Timekeeper of the Emirates Airlines US Open Series through the 2020 season. CITIZEN will have courtside presence at all U.S. based series tournaments along with a new iconic clock on the façade of Arthur Ashe Stadium for the US Open Tennis Championships. The expansion also includes eight new double-sided clocks throughout the Club and Promenade level of Arthur Ashe Stadium. CITIZEN is thrilled to continue this long-standing relationship with the USTA.
